Cube Escape: Paradox is the tenth game in the Cube Escape series. It was developed alongside a short film of the same name, and was released on September 20th, 2018. Despite being a Cube Escape game, and not one of the separate Rusty Lake titles, this game is available on paid services and contains a second chapter of DLC, which must be purchased. The first chapter does not.

In this game you play as Dale Vandermeer, who is trapped in an ominous room without any recollection of his past. Dale must solve increasingly challenging puzzles to escape the room and recover his memories.

Bugs Bugs[]

  • If you play channel 207 at some point that isn't during the walkthrough in chapter 2, you'll trigger the eye puzzle, but there's no resolution for it. You'll need to reset your game to use the TV again.
  • When using the magnifying glass on the Rusty Lake flyer, the D signature is further to the left than when not zoomed in.

  • Following the release of the Steam version, Cube Escape: Paradox has 28 unlockable achievements.
  • If you dial 24355 on the telephone, the number of the Mill (as we see in Cube Escape: Case 23), Mr. Crow answers, "Hello, this is Rusty Lake." Dale asks if he could help him. Mr. Crow replies that Dale cannot be saved.
  • Some of the other TV channels, all live-action:
    • 133: An artist sketching for Paradox comic book.
    • 158: The family band from Rusty Lake: Roots playing music.
    • 247: Bob from Cube Escape: Theatre, after receiving the Bloody Mary and shooting himself in the head.

  • An unique easter egg was hidden for Kickstarter donators. Every single one of them has received a pack of files by mail (postcards, photos etc.) containing 5 symbols in total. On using those symbols as a safe combination in chapter II you get a matryoshka-doll that can be accepted by Mr. Owl's hand.
  • Another easter egg was hidden in the video "5 Days of Christmas", which was released on YouTube on Christmas of 2018. In the video, 5 wooden cubes with different symbols were shown, each associated with different objects. Rearranging these symbols according to the things in the five Christmas socks, which were hung on the fireplace next to Mr. Owl at the end of the video, will give you a series of symbols to be entered on the puzzle. Entering these symbols will give you a Santa hat, and putting it on will trigger "Merry Christmas!".
