Elizabeth Eilander

Elizabeth Eilander is a member of the Eilander family. She is the middle child and only daughter of Caroline and Nicholas. She is completely blind in both eyes, reliant on other senses to navigate.

Rusty Lake Paradise[]

Elizabeth lives on the island of Paradise with the rest of her family taking part in the water burial of her mother before Jakob is called back to the island. She welcomes his return in 1796, saying it is nice to feel his presence there again.

She is sometimes helpful in curing the plagues; during the Second Plague she plays a small croaking flute to pacify a frog sitting on her head, helping Jakob to capture it. and she helps her uncle Gerard rid himself of lice by cutting his hair, though, due to her blindness, she also severs his right ear. During the Fourth Plague however, she simply hides in a box, claiming that fear did not make her blind.

When the lake freezes during the Seventh Plague, she will skate around on the surface, cracking it in places. When the island is covered by fog in the Eighth Plague, she will allow the player to see through the eyes carved on trees, using the eyes of the Goat.

When the Ninth Plague appears, she joins her family at their bonfire, making impressions; namely a set of scales and an owl. When the final plague begins she will join the rest of her family in the ritual, allowing Jakob to paint her face and eventually sacrificing him in the wicker owl, while wearing the mask of a pheasant.
