The Rusty Lake Burger is a special form of hamburger that is apparently a special dish of the Eilander Family.

Rusty Lake Paradise

During the Fifth Plague of Paradise Island, Gerard demands a burger to eat, provided by Jakob. Some of the ingredients are prepared by Gerard's mother, Margaret, who also complains of Gerard being always hungry. However, due to the current plague, Diseased Livestock, the burger is tainted and Gerard becomes sick.

Ingredients

The burger's ingredients can be arranged in any order, but one arrangement is noted on the recipe page. From bottom to top the ingredients are:

1. Lettuce - Picked from a pot outside Paradise.
2. Burger - Cut from a diseased cow as raw beef, cut by Margaret, and cooked in a pan form a patty.
3. Cheese - Taken from a diseased cow as raw milk, processed into cheese in a vat.
4. Crispy Bacon - Cut from a diseased goat as raw goat bacon, cut by Margaret, and cooked in a pan to crispen.
5. Ketchup - Obtained in the family vegetable farm as a whole tomato, pureed by Margaret.
6. Cucumber Slices - Obtained in the family vegetable farm as a whole cucumber, sliced by Margaret.

A bread bun is also included above and below the other ingredients, but is provided by the game.

Trivia

• Putting the ingredients down in the correct order, from bottom to top, earns the player an achievement.
• Nicholas will react if given the cheese first, referring to it as Dutch Gouda. This also earns the player an achievement.
• While the concept of meat between bread was known before 1796, it was commonly known as a 'Hamburgh Sausage'. The word 'Burger' as a contraction of 'Hamburger' wasn't coined until the 1900's.
